HAPPY 2017, EVERYBODY! I can’t believe 2016 is already over. As I look back and reflect on 2016, I am grateful I was fortunate enough to visit so many new countries and experience so many new adventures. I’m here to share with you some of my favorites events and pictures from over the 2016 year.

2016 was the first year that I ventured into Japan, Oman, Thailand, and China.

2016 was the year that I returned to the United Arab Emirates, and finally took a selfie with a camel.

2016 was the year that I finally visited every Disney theme park in the world. In September, I completed that goal with a visit to the all-new Shanghai Disneyland resort. I have now visited Disney World Florida, Disneyland California, Disneyland Paris, Disneyland Tokyo, Disneyland Hong Kong, and lastly, Disneyland Shanghai. The goal to visit every Disney theme park has been in the works since I went to Disney World when I was four years old.

2016 was the year that I got to pet a hippo, a tiger, and an elephant.

2016 was the year that I had the honor of being best man at my best friend Matt’s wedding.

2016 was the year that I ate food outside my comfort zone. Who doesn’t like floating chicken leg?

2016 was the year that I truly fell in love with blogging and being able to share my adventures with you guys.

2016 was the year that I went to the top of the Burj Khalifa and the Shanghai tower, which happen to be the two tallest buildings in the world.

2016 was the year that I experienced my first cat café, and they are just as amazing as the name sounds: a place where you can drink your coffee and play with cats. What’s better than that?

As 2016 wraps up and 2017 begins, I look forward to all the adventures that await in the new year. I already have plans to visit some new and exciting countries, and revisit some previously visited locations. This list is just a small sample of all the exciting experiences that I had during the year. I am still catching up on all my trip reports from 2016 so there is some exciting content coming your way.

During 2017, I will continue to grow and develop BulkTraveler into the best travel community on the internet. I want to continue to share my experiences with you all, so you can see that the average working person can take trips around the world and experience the same amazing adventures that I have. You read that right; you too can eat a floating chicken leg in Thailand and visit the Great Wall of China!

Exciting things are coming to BulkTraveler during 2017, so stay tuned, hold onto your pants, and I thank you all for coming along for the ride!
